Praise of the Hand Held Parent & Child Class:

Hi Barbara,

We are delighted to provide overwhelmingly positive feedback on our experience in the parent-child group. We greatly looked forward to our weekends at Bloom.

We liked the consistency of the morning. Quinlan seemed to enjoy the routine of the day (explore the room, bake, snack, outdoor time) and each week, he explored a little more and became more adventurous. He even added his own routines (saying hello to the elephant and sheep), which he completed this morning when we dropped him off for his first solo day.

We LOVE your gentle approach with the kids. We learned a lot from watching your kind demeanor with all of the children, especially when an adult didn't know what to do.

We really appreciated the articles you sent and often discussed them together and with other parents. We even started a file for future reference.

The only thing we could think of adding is more of you. When we heard you speak at the parent orientation, we were blown away. We couldn't imagine a better approach to caring for children and we were inspired by what you said. We would love to hear your thoughts on the articles and what's happening with the kids during the playgroup or during an evening session. You are a big part of what makes Bloom so special and we want to model that heart and soul at home.

I understand that Quinlan had a really great first day at Bloom with no tears (even pushing John out the door!). I can't imagine that happening without the parent child group. It made him feel comfortable and safe there and he came to know it as one of his places in this world. That would not have been possible without Barbara and the opportunity presented by the group.

Thank you, again!

Emily and John
