Hello! My name is Bethany Harvey.  

Opening BLOOM in 2012 was a dream realized for me.  I have been able to combine so many of my passions here - child development, parenting, environmental stewardship, community building, writing - all while being surrounded daily with these beautiful little children and the amazing women of Bloom.  It is a gift for which I am most humbly grateful every single day.

While my formal education is in elementary education, my work experience has been in the realm of early childhood.  I spent ten years working at Little Friends, most recently as the Director from 2000-2006.  It was in 2006 that I left to begin my own adventure in mothering.  

My daughters (now 12 and 15 years old) were, and continue to be, my inspiration for providing a childcare experience worthy of the miracles our children truly are. These little beings of light make us want to be better people, don't they?

Bloom is a a place where we not only offer the very best environment (outside of the home) for very young children, but also a place that welcomes parents with open arms, lends caring support, and builds community around the parents of young children.  We all need and deserve a little extra love and understanding during this most wondrous, and most exhausting, time in our lives!
